lives up to reputation, well matched with RX200

Posted by Uncle Mok on Sep 13, 2016

I wanted a fat-ish tank for home use (I use VTC-Mini x BachelorNano on the go) and this tank matched up really well with my RX200. Build quality seems great so far and I suspect the finish (i got black) will hold up pretty well. For my use, I've been getting best flavor from it with the bottom air open to 1 notch and top air wide open. Build deck size and layout is easy to work with, and I just leave the ring in place when re-wicking. I hate to gush, but I'm more pleased with the product than I expected, and as usual eciggity delivered very fast with no troubles. Good luck!

    Good could be better

I like this tank nice easy build deck large capacity. I dislike the fact that it can leak out of the top air flow control and if you dont shut off the juice control when filling it will leak like a sieve. The O-Rings are poor quality and must be installed absolutely perfect to prevent leaking. Other companies use O-Rings that are much less demanding and better quality. The top airflow is basicly a flavor killer and I keep mine shut off and it still leaks if I lay the mod down sideways. Flavor and vapor production is good wicking is a little finicky but not bad. All in all this is a good tank that would easily be a great tank if they fixed the crap O-Rings and killed the top airflow.

Still learning it but not bad so far

I'm glad that I did some research prior to building this tank. Wicking isn't extremely difficult and I haven't had any leaking but it isn't as simple as shoving cotton into the juice holes. You need to cut your cotton almost into a point and gently put it in, not stuff it like with some other RTAs. Having juice flow control helps though if you happen to go too loose.

The top airflow is great as it actually goes to the build deck. Plus since it doesn't click into place you can fine tune your airflow. My only complaint about the top is none of my 510 drip tips fit. It's a wide bore so I'll hand to shop around for other tips. However since it's not a metal tip I'm not in a hurry to get another tip (I won't use metal drip tips).

The 17mm velocity style deck is awesome to build on and now it's all I want to have in my RTAs. I need to do a few more builds before I may consider it a 5 star tank but if I find perfection with it I'm going to be seriously tempted to get the 22mm version for my wife.

It's worth buying and I should've gotten this a long time ago instead of the Mutation tank (which is still great but this should be better). I love my Mutant tank ever since I learned to wick it but this is easier to build, wick, and has better airflow. The huge capacity is great as well. I usually take 1 tank, 1 dripper, 2 mods, and juice to work. I can see myself only taking 2 mods and 2 full tanks (this and the Boreas) to work from now on as that will be more than enough.

Like stated above, the Griffin 25mm is a great product. As usual always great service from eciggity. Thank you.

The Griffin 25mm RTA by Geek Vape is the enlarged version of the original Griffin with some new and improved features! Retaining the trendsetting Two Post Velocity Style deck with 2mm post holes, the build deck has been enlarged to 17mm in diameter and now holds up to 6.2ml of e-juice which is almost twice as much as the original Griffin. The airflow holes on the deck and the dual adjustable bottom airflow ring have been slightly enlarged to 4.4mm by 3.5mm and 13mm by 2mm respectively. In addition, adjustable top airflow control has been implemented on the Griffin 25mm RTA to help cool down larger builds. Furthermore, the included ceramic block can be used to make the Griffin 25mm RTA compatible with single coil builds and also features an airhole that is bored directly through the body of the block to provide additional airflow.
