Inserts are too short to be useful in the building process. Not a fan of this one.
UD Coil Jig

My 1st coil jig, quality machining. Works well with large gauge wire . I will need to develop my skills with smaller diameters. Coils tend to be a little loose but that's just my learning curve. Everything stores in one package. Make sure you clean the jig. It has some machining or preservative oil on it from the factory.

Coil Jig Works Great

The coil Jig Works great and I really like the coils it makes. I use 22 gauge around a 3.0 and it works flawlessly.
Well made jig!

I had a cheaply made coil maker before getting this one. It looked great, and I even watched a video demonstration before purchasing it. It looked like a worthwhile investment. When it arrived I was surprised at the heft and quality of it. I've made several coils of different size gauges and it works perfect!

Much easier to use then a drill bit or screwdriver. Coils come out identical. No problems with overlapping of coils. All the individual pieces fit into the hollow tube for easy storage.

Works good to get consistent size coils but i would prefer a longer lead to get into the smaller decks

The reason for 4/5 stars is the lack of any instructions. Other than that it's a great product. Solid construction, easy to use once you figure it out.
